Parking

There is extremely limited street parking in our neighborhood. We encourage patrons to take public transportation, walk from the trolley (there is a stop one-half block away) or take taxi cabs/Lyft/Uber.

By Streetcar from Union Station

The free DC Streetcar departs from the Hopscotch Bridge every 15 minutes. To get there from Union Station, use the elevators or escalators to go up one level from the Amtrak waiting area and go north through the Union Station parking structure toward H Street. Disembark the Streetcar at 13th and H and walk to the Atlas. Check for real-time updates at DC Streetcar and Select “Eastbound-towards Oklahoma Ave” and your current location.

By Metrobus

Visit WMATA to access Metro trip planner. X2 Bus Runs along H Street from Lafayette Square (16th Street) to Minnesota Avenue and connects with Metrorail at Gallery Place/Chinatown Station. X8 Bus Runs along Maryland Avenue from Union Station. Exit at 13th Street; Walk two blocks to H Street. X9 Bus Monday through Friday Express Bus serving H Street. Connects at metro Center and Gallery Place following the same route as the X2, but service ends at 6:30 pm.

Walking from Union Station

Head east on Massachusetts Avenue, go around Stanton Park, then continue east on Maryland Avenue NE. Turn left on 13th Street NE. Turn right on H Street NE and the Atlas will be on your right.

From 295

Kenilworth Avenue Southbound exit at Benning Road. Continue west on Benning Road NE. Benning will end and become H Street NE at a large intersection with Bladensburg Road and H Street. Go two blocks east on H Street NE, the Atlas will be on your left. Exit station and turn left. Continue along Massachusetts until it becomes Maryland Ave. NE. Turn Left at 13th Street NE. Turn Right on H Street NE. The Atlas will be on your right.

From Virginia

Take 395 North towards Washington, DC. Take exit 6 on the right toward D Street NW, US Senate. Take exit 10 toward Massachusetts Avenue. Continue straight onto 2nd Street NW. Turn right onto H Street NE. The Atlas will be on your right.

From Maryland

From Capital Beltway South. Take 95 North toward Baltimore. Take exit 2A-B to merge onto 295 N toward Washington National Harbor. Keep right on Anacostia Freeway N toward 395, Capitol Hill. Exit left onto Benning Road. Turn left onto Benning Road. The Atlas will be on your left.

Biking

The Atlas now has convenient access to the new Capital Bikeshare program. The closest station is at 13th and H Streets NE across the street from the theater.

Arrival

We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before a performance to avoid last-minute lines at the Box Office. Large groups should allow more time before the show for tickets to be distributed. Late-arriving patrons will be seated at the discretion of the performing company and the house manager in order to minimize disruption to the performers and audience.

Tickets

To pick up your tickets, come to the Box Office at 1333 H Street NE, Washington, DC 20002. Please bring a picture ID with you. If you can’t find your ticket, just come to the Box Office, give us your name and let us know you lost your ticket. We can issue you a pass for your seat(s) and you may be asked to show an ID. Ticket fees apply except when purchasing with cash at the box office. 

Dress code

We have no official dress code: come as you wish!

Accessibility

Our goal is to make our performances and events available and accessible to all patrons. Please contact our Patron Services at boxoffice@atlasarts.org or at 202.399.7993 to arrange for special seating and for more information when you purchase your tickets. Please provide four weeks notice for ASL requests.

 

For our patrons with mobility disabilities:
